Bryce and Sarah and I went down to the Negro League Museum today for a ceremony to award Gold Gloves to the best fielding Negro League Players.  It was hosted by Frank White and Ozzie Smith.  There were a couple of Negro League players in attendance as well as Willie Wilson.  They also awarded an honorary Gold Glove to Buck O'Neil.  It was a really cool ceremony.

It is funny how sometimes a picture just comes to you.  Today I taught a couple of classes, held Bryce (he's four months today) and listened to the Royals game, Sarah and I went running and I didn't really take any pictures.  Then while Sarah was in the shower, (get your minds out of the gutter), Comet started howling outside.  I looked out and realized that she had treed (or at least fenced) a possum.  On a side note, I love my new flash because this picture wouldn't have been possible without it.

Here is Bryce as he gave me my fathers day gift.  I got a great tie with his picture on it, a baseball outfit for Bryce that has my old baseball number on it, and the hat that he is wearing.  We will also be going to a bunch of Comet's soccer games this winter.

Since the guy is about to walk across Niagara Falls tonight, I thought I would post a bonus picture of Sarah and I at about the spot where he will be coming off the wire in Canada.

P.S.  Bryce is in this picture also.

Update: The guy made it and when he did, the Canadian officials met him and stamped his passport.  My wife is very upset because when we went into Canada, they didn't stamp our passports.

Today I was holding Bryce and he farted. It was really stinky. I picked him up and realized that he pooped, a lot. Through his diaper. Through his onesy. Onto my pants and shirt.

When I went to take a shower the front of my underwear was brown.

Three bars of soap and a half gallon of hand sanitizer later and I'm good to go.

Bryce fell asleep holding a baseball bear today. Pretty soon his hand was holding the ball. He's going to be a pitcher, he was born on the day pitchers and catchers reported to spring training. He had a little help with the fastball grip in the second picture.
